Short Bio

Milo grew up with art upon the influenced of his Uncle Goody, as they call him. He started to draw at age six with pencil, charcoal, crayons and watercolors. His involvement in arts only lasted from 6th grade to sophomore high and stopped until he emerged and started building again his art tools in the year 2014. From then on, he has been actively pursuing and perfecting the love of his life creating and painting arts on canvas.

Statement

I like to paint people's faces, people's life, events, places, and recollections of my wild imaginations. My oil pieces are pure expressions of joy, peace, challenge, fear, conflicts and moral values. Inspirations come from people I love and others who have left behind and touched me with memorable moments. My audience brings strength in my continued pursuit of creating a masterpiece; subjects are chosen based on the challenges it poses. My artworks are original but sometimes a collaborative engagement. All forms of art are enduring, and I intend to leave mark of my own.

Biography

A self-schooled contemporary artist from San Jose, California standing for the Silicon Valley artistry from 2014 in an emerging fashion. Milo's techniques are aligned around a mix of impressionism, expressionism, surrealism using a figurative subject.
Milo uses oil on canvas blending it with gel, glaze and protective finishing. His tools are varieties of brushes, pallets, combined with masking tapes, sandpapers and other artist aiding tools.
His approach to concepts is visionary and likes to start-up with either a preconceived theme or exploring on the-spot layouts that may come up as he progresses on his drawing board. He will work on different versions of color combinations and layouts and will conclude the definitive version if he believes that the artwork passed quality, his theme and message can be cryptically and visually delivered to the public, and the work is masterfully done.
He wants to invent his art to an interestingly intriguing level by allowing his audience to capture its meaning with their own real-life experience. Milo uses his subjects to convey a message that all forms of human sensitivities are expression of his art and that he intends to illustrate this and endure with time by putting colors and paints on canvas.
Milo's favorite painters are Leonardo da Vinci, Picasso, and he took an inspiration from friend contemporary artist Bernard Emanuel Beneito (RIP) of France. His philosophy about the future of his name as an artist depends on how his critics and audience will judge his works. He believes in Plato's famous quote, “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.” Milo intends to see the light of the day when the public declares his work a masterpiece.
